The Blake Wallace Board Room originally served as a passenger waiting room. Through a small window that opened in to the Statio Master's office, travelers would purchase tickets to board the next available train. A pot belly stove kept them warm as they waited during the cold months.
Today the room is used as a meeting room and small reception hall. A sturdy 8' square hand-designed work table serves as the centerpiece of the room.
When the Train Station was restored in 2005-2007, the room was designated to serve as a Permanent Collection Room, showcasing framed tributes to the benegfactors of the restoration.
The contribution categories ranging from Hobo, Passenger, Warehouseman, Freight Agent, Baggage Handler, Ticket Agent, Station Master, Railroad President, to the top giving level, The Stephen Decatur Wallace Club, made for a challenging capital campaign for organizations, businesses, addults and children.
